Allard Bailey Family Law is described as having a refreshingly modern approach to legal service. We understand that life can be hectic and many of our clients have conflicting commitments, so we offer virtual consultations out of the usual working hours, as well as meetings at our offices in London and Hertfordshire. You can choose a one-off consultation or full representation in complicated matters. As a result, whatever your schedule or location, our team of solicitors is ready to provide bespoke legal advice tailored to your situation.
As a boutique law practice, we specialise in all areas of family law as well as the protection of private wealth. Our solicitors are experienced, realistic and focused on achieving the best results for you. They utilise technology and modern working practices to deliver a truly flexible service, whilst keeping your costs down.
As a firm, we help families rebuild themselves during challenging times with pragmatic advice on divorce and finances including international matters, private children matters, domestic abuse, dissolution of civil partnerships, trust of land matters, separation agreements and the enforcement of orders.
At the other end of the family spectrum we advise on prenuptial, postnuptial and cohabitation agreements, as well as assisting with UK and international surrogacy and adoption matters.
We advise individuals and international families on wills, trusts and estate planning, deputyships, power of attorney, philanthropic giving and disputes or claims against trusts and estates.
In your personal capacity, or acting as an Executor or Trustee, we can support you at every decision-making stage of your life.
We offer the opportunity to have an initial free telephone or email conversation, followed by a fixed fee face to face or Skype appointment. During this appointment we can advise on the next steps and provide you with an estimate of the costs involved.
You can also start your Family Law or Estate Planning matter online and receive a free, confidential, no-obligation report outlining your position and next steps.
We have a transparent approach to fees. Most matters will be undertaken on a competitive hourly rate basis and you will be kept fully informed of the likely costs in your matter.
We will usually ask for a payment on account to be made and clients are then invoiced on a monthly basis, with a full breakdown of the work carried out.
Our flexible working practice means we are able to offer competitive fees despite our central London location.
In many cases, clients have significant matrimonial assets but as they are in dispute they may not have the money to cover the legal fees. We have close links with a family law finance service who can offer a competitive rate to cover fees and disbursements.
If you don’t have the money for legal fees but your partner does, in some circumstances we can make an application to the court for maintenance pending suit to include payment of your legal fees. All alternative options for legal funding must have been exhausted. Please contact us for further information and we will be happy to discuss this in more detail.
You have been amazing Louise, thank you for your support and advice throughout this whole process. Having you in our corner at court really put us at ease… can’t thank you enough.
‘Most of the team has experience of working at well-known large City firms. The team gives really specialist, high quality advice and representation on a much more accessible / good value basis compared to ‘magic circle’-type firms.’ Legal 500, 2020
Allard Bailey was very efficient, transparent and supportive and clearly knew the ins and outs of the legal procedure. I felt that I was in very capable hands and was very pleased I had employed the team’ Legal 500, 2021
